A little background about our company:

Air-O Specialists of Texas, Inc. had been located on Addison Airport for more than 20 years, but has recently relocated to Collin County Regional (CCRA).  In June 2001, the company was purchased from the original owner by Charles Schandelmeier, the lead mechanic.  Since then, the company has grown and carried with it a reputation of invaluable customer service and quality workmanship.  Air-O Specialists employs two full time licensed IAs (one of whom is bilingual English/Spanish) and one apprentice.  We offer precise attention to detail, personal service, an experienced knowledge base, and 24 hour availability.  We are looking for further growth and expansion and welcome your business. 

Charles Schandelmeier:

Charles began his career in the clouds serving in the Army Air National Guard from 1989-1995 as a crew chief on chinook helicopters.  He served actively during the Persian Gulf war of 1991 and continued in the reserves.  After completion of his military responsibility, he attended Texas AeroTech at Love Field to earn his Airframe and Powerplant license.  In the spring of 1998, he was hired by Farrell Trask, then owner of Air-O Specialists, to work on general aviation aircraft.  Charles benefited from years of knowledge and guided skill offered by Mr. Trask.  In June of 2001, Mr. Trask entrusted Charles with the purchase of his company.  Currently, Charles is regarded as a trusted craftsman by his clients and to many, a personal friend.  Charles is supported and strengthened by his Christian values and his family:  wife, Paula, sons, Chase and Chad, parents, and extended family.

Jorge Ashford:

Jorge and his family moved to Venus, Texas from Mexico when he was six years old.  He was raised in Venus and graduated from Venus High School.  After graduation, he attended the International Aviation Travel Academy at Arlington Airport where he earned his A&P license.  He joined the Air-O Specialists family in August of 2002, and has since exhibited an uncanny mechanical ability and proven to be an invaluable asset to our company.  While gaining experience at Air-O Specialists, he was able to earn his IA in September of 2004.  Jorge's focused performance and active listening has formed him into a skilled mechanic and aviation professional.
